About Us
Uni-Tech Communications was founded in 1989 by Derek Whitbread as a
small home based business. As business increased, so did our number of
employees and the products and services we provide. As a locally owned and
operated business we have always provided products and services at a
competitive price that would otherwise not be available in the communities
we serve.
Uni-Tech specializes in low voltage structured cabling (Cat 5e, Cat
6), telephone systems, voicemail, video surveillance (CCTV), fiber optics,
audio & video applications, paging, and intercom. We are the areas only
Authorized Panasonic Business Telephone Systems Dealer.
We understand that your business depends on a working telephone
system and computer network. We stock commonly used parts and accessories to
keep your business up and running. We also carry used and refurbished
telephones and parts for your Panasonic, Toshiba/Teleco, Telrad,
Avaya/AT&T, and Nortel phone systems. We can provide you with a customized
maintenance contract and offer 24/7 emergency support.
We believe in supporting our local communities. Uni-Tech sponsors
multiple local non-profit groups. For many years we have been a major
sponsor for the Umatilla County Fair, and recently began sponsoring the
Union County Fair. Other groups we have supported in the past have included
Hermiston Little League, Farm City Pro Rodeo, Hermiston AAU Basketball,
Hermiston Chamber of Commerce, and Hermiston Soccer Association.
Our customers include commercial businesses, educational
institutions, county, state and local government and non-profit agencies. We
have been serving Eastern Oregon and Southeastern Washington for over 20
years. We are based in Hermiston, Pendleton, and La Grande, Oregon.
